Book Reviews

When I read an amazing love story that makes my heart soar, I fall in love with the romance of falling in love. This is why I enjoy writing wholesome romance -- it's a chance to explore the sweet, tender and heartwarming experience of love.

Over the last month I've read three new books that are now among my list of favorites.

✭✭✭✭✭ HOMECOMING by Carolyne Aarsen
(Sweet Hearts of Sweet Creek, Book 1)

It's tough to beat a book about a handsome cowboy in a stunning and scenic small town. The romance was sweet and heartwarming, with a saving love that conquered all. It was beautifully written, the descriptions so well-done that I could truly visualize the landscape. An unexpected bonus is that this is a Christian Romance.

✭✭✭✭✭ WORTH THE WAIT by Jamie Beck
(St. James, Book 1)

I could not put this book down until I finished it. I enjoyed reading this so much that I was up until midnight -- ahem, one o'clock in the morning. The raw emotions, interesting relationship dynamic, and a heartwarming love that was absolutely worth the wait.

✭✭✭✭✭ PIRATE OF MY HEART by Jamie Carie

A swash-buckling adventure on the open seas, filled with back-stabbing plots and a sweetly dashing romance. It's a page-turner that kept me hooked until the very end.
